Forkids is a non-profit making association that originated from cooperative work being carried out in conjunction with Non-Governmental Organisations in India. We saw that these small NGOs were headed by people native to the country with an admirably strong vocational calling but sadly very few resources. To assist, a small group of us here decided to support them from Spain. The work we do is voluntary and our desire to help the most forgotten social groups in some way is what bonds us so closely with these Indian organisations.

We operate from here by supporting and promoting projects that are being run by these organisations. They are associations that we agree to collaborate with once we know their development and history. The enthusiasm and dedication the people show when carrying out the work makes up in part for the lack of means they have at their disposal. These workers, who have become our friends, are Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims and Christians. Forkids was registered on the 3rd of May 2001 in the "Registre d'Associacions de la Direcció General de Dret i d'Entitats Jurídiques" with the registration number: 24730.
